My Testimony

I was a horrible wreck. I was a so-called Christian since seven, but I think I was too young at that age. I tried very hard to keep myself up without Jesus, but I realize I couldn't. It is not that I didn't want Jesus, but it is that I really didn't know what could happen when Jesus stepped into my life.

I was into smoking and hanging out with people I really shouldn't. I was really involved into pornography. I found myself searching for porn everyday and I couldn't step away from it. I had not tried drugs, but I am sure that was next.

My mom was a Christian when she was younger. She lost Christ when she left her church because of the way they treated her. She was without Christ for a very long time. My aunt is a Christian and I started going to her church. I then started going to her youth group. At first, I felt uncomfortable at the church with all these people who were with Christ when I wasn't. They had people there who would help people like me and I certainly took advantage of that. I started liking the church's youth group and I starting going more. I didn't feel uncomfortable praising Jesus when I learned the things He had done for me. My mom came to the church when I started telling her how much I liked it. She was also the same way as I had been- uncomfortable and embarrassed. But she liked the church, she found Christ again, and it has changed her life for the better. My dad is not a Christian and he does not like the relaxed atmosphere of the church so I am hoping he turns around. He really does need it.

Now that I have found Christ, I have stopped thinking about cigarettes, have stopped hanging around with those people, and don't even think about pornography. I love and trust Christ with all my heart. I have even given up on adult radio stations and started listening to the Christian alternative station here in the area.
